You are ten minutes on foot from the main sights but you sleep on a street where the loudest thing at night is a tram in the distance.
Accommodation here skews toward boutique guesthouses and serviced apartments rather than big hotels. That makes it a favorite for stays of four nights or more, when having a washing machine and a bakery on the corner starts to matter more than a reception desk.

Getting around from Oborishte
Everything central is a pleasant walk away: the cathedral in five minutes, Vitosha Boulevard in fifteen. Sofia University station on the neighborhood's southern edge puts you on the metro, and the trams and trolleybuses along Dondukov and Yanko Sakazov cover the rest.
For the airport, the simplest route is a short ride to Sofia University station and the metro from there, or a taxi in about 20 minutes outside rush hour.
